Paintings, sculpture, and a conceptual practice that treats corporations as oeuvres. By Paul-Alexander Pissarro, great-great-grandson of Camille Pissarro. Acquisitions are handled by Name of My Gallery. Every edition is bound by the perpetual CoCA resale covenant.
Do and Pissarro are not asking the question. They are building the institution that answers it.
Where Duchamp asked what is art, Do and Pissarro ask what is the minimum viable institution. The institution does not produce aesthetic goods; it engineers covenants and compliance mechanisms as artworks. The corporation is the medium.

I · The Inheritance
Camille Pissarro showed in all eight Impressionist exhibitions. The first of them, in 1874, was mounted by a corporation: a cooperative whose statutes he pushed toward the rules of a bakers' union. The inheritance was never only a way of painting. It was a way of incorporating.

RAD-GEN.001 · 2026
Oil on canvas, 30.5 × 30.5 cm. Edition of one hundred, painted by hand by Kim Van Do. $7,000.
An edition of one hundred oil paintings in the late impressionist style of Camille Pissarro, each painted by hand by Kim Van Do. The edition addresses the market's historical undervaluation of Camille Pissarro relative to Monet: the serialised sunset the elder Pissarro refused to paint, painted one hundred times.
A Provenance · The Pissarro family tree, five generations, recorded in the manner of a catalogue entry.
II · The Incorporation
One hundred and fifty years later, the practice takes that detail literally. These are not companies that support the art. They are the art.

The CoCA Covenant
Every edition is bound by a perpetual legal covenant that runs with the object: documented chain of custody, cash settlement on resale, and a fifty per cent royalty to the artists on resale value above the edition's threshold, $30,000 for the Genesis series and $14,000 for RAD-GEN. The covenant is part of the work; by acquiring, you accept it.
III · The Objects
An institution that enforces through authentication needs objects worth authenticating. The objects are deliberately strange, so that the paperwork can be deadly serious.
The inaugural work of the Genesis series: ten unlicensed Rolex Day-Date 40 wristwatches sealed in archival resin and impressed with the CoCA institutional seal. In the artist's framing, "the resin is the blockchain, the covenant is the smart contract, and the lineage is the whitepaper." The first edition was placed with a private collector in Texas in May 2026.
Where Genesis Artifact consecrated a counterfeit, Genesis 002 consecrated a failure: a sixteenth-century repair philosophy transposed onto disposable technology, the cracked screen treated as the site of the work rather than its flaw. The covenant structure carries forward unchanged.
